Éste viernes 27 de septiembre Dj Savoy Truffle realizará una sesión dedicada al mítico grupo inglés, y a la prolífica carrera de su líder y vocalista Morrissey, todo ello a partir de las 23:30h.
La pinchada será en Polyester Bar, Travesia de San Mateo, 10, y además estará aderezada con temas cohetáneos de la época de los Smiths, Britpop, y demás grupos afines.
Haré un repaso de los 4 discos de los Smiths, dónde hay material para dar y tomar. Además Morrissey y su gran carrera en solitario es el complemento perfecto, con grandes letras y quizás un toque más popero que el del grupo madre, cuya guitarra de Johnny Marr daba un toque de rock al sonido del grupo.
Y como aperitivo os dejo con un par de temas, el Panic de The Smiths, un single no incluído en ninguno de esos cuatro discos del año 1986.
Y por otro lado un tema de Morrissey de su etapa en solitario, del año 2004 éste maravilloso Irish Blood, English Heart, del disco You are the Quarry.
